The mark of any good addition to a home is that no one knows it’s an addition.  The add-on should look flawless – like it has been there from the moment the house was raised.

The homeowner had two reasons for this addition; to be able to park three cars in one garage and to prevent further water damage to the front of the house. The client specifically requested that there not be any columns in the garage that they would have to maneuver around and that might limit space. They also requested a breezeway from the garage to the front door of the house.

We designed this carport with steel columns on the left and right to take the structural load and eliminated the need for center posts and allowed for the trusses and cantilever out to the breezeway. The client’s requests were met; something we always strive for. A beautiful entry was created from the carport to the breezeway and the transition from carport to house was perfect. It looked like it should have been built this way from the beginning. Now the roofline of the house makes sense and the facade of the house is structurally sound and safe from further water damage.

Once again, our clients are thrilled with the results.
